Digital Media
A digital media degree for people who want to create content that matters. Audiovisual production, digital marketing, podcasting, 3D animation, web design and digital journalism: all in one degree, with real tools and your own projects from the very first year. Official degree leading to a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours awarded by London Metropolitan University.
A digital media degree for people who want to create content that matters
The Digital Media Degree at CESINE is not a repackaged journalism degree. It’s a degree designed for today’s digital ecosystem: students edit video in first year, launch their own podcast in second year, develop a digital marketing plan for a client company in third year and present their final digital production to a panel of industry professionals in fourth year. Four years to master digital media from the inside: from idea to published piece, from script to final render. And you do it with a faculty of working professionals from real agencies, production companies and digital media outlets.

Digital communication and digital journalism: one degree for both profiles
Digital communication draws on journalism and expands it. This degree brings together students who want to tell stories in audiovisual formats, students who want to manage digital projects, students who want to specialise in content marketing and students who want to work as digital journalists in media outlets or agencies. The programme trains you in all of these directions because today’s industry doesn’t separate these skills: it combines them.
This qualification is officially equivalent to a University Degree
Degrees from CESINE’s School of Business and Communication are awarded by London Metropolitan University and validated by SIUCAN. They carry the same academic recognition as Spanish national university degrees and give you access to public-sector job openings under Royal Decree 889/2022, as well as to official master’s and doctoral programmes in the European Higher Education Area. You can apply to the Spanish Ministry of Education for equivalence with an official Spanish university degree.

How you learn at CESINE
Digital production from year one
You don’t learn digital communication by reading about digital communication. From year one you edit, shoot, animate and publish. Each year adds a layer of technical and editorial complexity until you reach your own production project in year four.
Lecturers who work in the industry
Working professionals from digital agencies, production companies, media outlets and animation studios. They bring into the classroom the tools, projects and trends they’re working with this week. The latest from the digital sector — which changes every month — comes into class in real time.
Industry-standard professional tools
We work with the tools the industry uses: the full Adobe suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), 3D animation tools, podcasting platforms, content management systems, digital analytics and UX design software. What you learn here, you’ll apply the Monday after you graduate.
Small groups, individual attention
A maximum of 20 students per class. Lecturers know your name and projects are reviewed one by one. In digital production, the difference between generic content and content that works lies in personalised feedback.
Work placements at digital agencies, media outlets and production companies
Curricular work placements are part of the Year 3 curriculum. You can also do extracurricular placements at any time to gain experience and strengthen your production portfolio. The Business Relations Department supports you throughout the search and provides tutoring. Some of our regular partners for digital media profiles: Cadena SER, El Diario Montañés, Atresmedia, Digital Growth, Lua Group.
The Digital Media Degree at CESINE opens doors abroad. Through mobility programmes and the EDH network, you can complete part of your studies at international partner universities.
