Parents and families
Your child is starting a new chapter. We want you to experience it with peace of mind too.
Choosing a university is one of the most important decisions a family makes together.
That’s why at CESINE we want you to have all the information you need about our academic offering, our educational model, career opportunities, accommodation, university life and everything Santander can offer your child during these years.
Because supporting your child through this stage also means having the peace of mind of knowing where they are studying, who with, and where their education can take them.
A university designed to prepare them for the real world
At CESINE we combine university education, professional experience, internationalisation and personal support so that our students don’t just earn a degree: they develop the skills they’ll need to build their professional future.
Our degrees last 4 years and are worth 240 ECTS, with a practice-oriented methodology and lecturers with professional experience in their fields.
Working professionals:
Their lecturers know the professional world from the inside and bring that experience into the classroom.
Learning by doing:
Projects, presentations, teamwork, visits, events, competitions and contact with companies are all part of how they learn.
Professional experience:
Curricular placements are part of the degrees, and students can broaden their experience through extracurricular placements. CESINE works with a network of partner companies and runs activities that connect students with the job market.
An international outlook:
CESINE brings together students from different countries and offers international mobility opportunities. The current student community includes students from 20 countries.
What can my child study at CESINE?
Two schools. Different paths. One shared goal: to prepare every student for what they want to become.
Top-Up Programmes
At CESINE, career guidance starts during the degree.
Students can do curricular and extracurricular placements, take part in employability workshops, visit companies, meet professionals and join networking events and activities.
From the classroom to the professional world
Learn → Practise → Connect → Start
During their years at CESINE, our students build much more than an academic record: knowledge + experience + portfolio + contacts + professional skills.
Where to live in Santander?
Their new home is also part of the university experience.
We know that for many families this is one of the biggest concerns when a student leaves home to study.
That’s why CESINE provides information and guidance on different student accommodation options in Santander, including flats and halls of residence.

Halls of residence
Santander has a range of student residences, with options located in different parts of the city.
Student flats
CESINE also provides information on shared flats and student accommodation options. These include Just Room, which offers furnished apartments and rooms aimed at students.
Santander: a city to study and live in A university by the Cantabrian Sea
Choosing a university also means choosing a city.
Santander combines a manageable size with nature, beaches, culture, sport and university life. CESINE sees the city as a key part of its students’ experience.
Here they can walk to class, study by the sea, play sport, discover new places and enjoy a city that combines university life with quality of life.
- Sea: Beaches and the Cantabrian Sea are part of everyday life in Santander.
- Sport: Surfing, sailing, padel, climbing, yoga and many other activities round off the university experience.
- Culture: Centro Botín, concerts, exhibitions, festivals and a lively cultural calendar all year round.
- Food: A city where eating well is part of the experience too.
- International: A city open to tourism and to students from different countries.
- An easy city: Santander’s size means students can easily get around between university, accommodation, leisure and services.
Santander isn’t just where they study. It’s part of what they’ll experience.
Independence, yes. Support, too.
Going to university is a step towards independence. But that doesn’t mean they have to do it alone.
At CESINE we believe in close relationships between students, lecturers and the university team.
Small groups and direct contact create an environment where students can raise questions, ask for guidance and receive support throughout their time at university.
Before they arrive: Information on admission, enrolment, scholarships, accommodation and preparing for their arrival.
During their studies: Academic support, guidance and services to make their university experience easier.
As the working world approaches: Placements, workshops, contact with companies and professionals, events and career guidance.
Because you’re part of the journey too
- Information: We want you to know all the options before making a decision.
- Closeness: A university environment where students are not just a number.
- Experience: More than three decades training professionals in Santander.
- Future: An education connected with companies, professionals and institutions.
- International: A multicultural community and opportunities to go out into the world.
- Santander: A city in which to study, grow and live.
