    Frequently asked questions about living in Santander

    No. Although prices have risen in recent years, Santander is still generally more affordable than large university cities such as Madrid or Barcelona. A student usually needs between €700 and €1,000 a month for accommodation, food, transport and leisure, whereas in Madrid or Barcelona the typical budget is between €900 and more than €1,300 a month, mainly due to higher housing costs.

    Yes. CESINE is located in an area with several student accommodation options, including university residences and halls of residence in the El Sardinero and Los Castros areas, just a few minutes from campus. There are also many shared flats and student accommodation options in nearby neighbourhoods. Check with CESINE’s Admissions Department for the available options and any up-to-date agreements or recommendations.

    Getting to Santander is easy from anywhere in Spain. The city has regular train and bus connections from the main cities, as well as road access via the A-67 and A-8 motorways. If you are travelling from further away, Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport offers direct flights to many national and international destinations.
