Information Day School of Design and Creation
Discover where your creativity can take you
Are you passionate about fashion, graphic design or interior design? Do you know you want to study Design but still aren’t sure which degree to choose? Want to find out how a design school really works and what career opportunities you’ll have when you finish?
On Saturday 24 October at 12:00, we invite you to come to CESINE and get to know our School of Design and Creation first-hand, along with our university degrees and the way you’ll learn and develop your projects during your time at university.
An event designed for students and families, where you can learn about our academic offering, discover how we work and get all your questions answered directly by our academic team.
Because choosing what to study is an important decision. And if you want to turn your creativity into a profession, we want you to see CESINE from the inside.
Information Day – School of Design and Creation
Fashion Design:
Develop your creativity and learn to turn your ideas into fashion proposals. From concept and research to design, creation and collection presentation, you’ll discover the different stages of the creative and professional process.
Graphic Design
Learn to communicate ideas through design and develop projects in visual identity, branding, editorial design, packaging, digital design and other areas of graphic communication.
Interior Design
Design spaces that combine creativity, functionality and experience. Learn to develop interior design projects from concept to completion, working with materials, lighting, layout and different representation tools.
Much more than a curriculum
Choosing a degree isn’t just about deciding which subjects you want to study.
During the event we’ll explain what it’s like to study at CESINE and what makes our way of learning different.
Learn by designing
Throughout your studies you’ll work on projects that let you put what you’ve learnt into practice, experiment, develop your own creative language and take on challenges similar to those you’ll face in the professional world. Because design isn’t just about knowing tools and techniques. It’s about learning to observe, research, create, solve problems and turn ideas into projects.
Professionals who bring the design world into the classroom
Designers, creatives and industry professionals bring their experience and knowledge of the professional world into the classroom. This lets students learn first-hand how the industry works, what companies are looking for and the challenges they’ll face when they start their careers. Learn from people who work in what you want to do.
From the classroom to the professional world
Studying Design means developing creativity, but also gaining the skills you need to turn it into a profession. During the event you’ll find out how CESINE connects academic training with the professional world through:
- Real projects and hands-on experience: You’ll work on projects that help you develop your creativity and learn to respond to different needs and briefs.
- Company placements: We’ll explain how professional placements work and the opportunities you’ll have to get in touch with companies and industry professionals.
- Contact with professionals: Talks, visits, collaborations and projects bring students closer to the reality of different professional fields in design.
- Portfolio: Throughout your studies you’ll build projects that can become part of your portfolio, an essential tool for presenting your work and starting your career.
Get all your questions answered by our academic team
During the Information Day you’ll have the chance to speak directly with Óscar Lanza, Academic Coordinator of the School of Design and Creation.
You can ask everything you need to know before choosing your degree:
- What do you really study in each degree?
- What is the curriculum like?
- What projects do students work on?
- What teaching methodology is used in class?
- What tools and software will I learn?
- Who are the lecturers?
- What are CESINE’s spaces and workshops like?
- When can I do a work placement?
- Which companies can I get in touch with?
- How do Erasmus and international mobility work?
- What career opportunities does each degree offer?
- How can I build my portfolio?
- What are the entry requirements and routes?
- What qualification will I receive when I finish?
And, above all, you can ask your own questions.
Because nobody knows better than you what you need to find out before making a decision.
An event for students and families
We know that choosing what to study is often a decision shared with family.
That’s why parents and family members are also invited.
While students get a close look at the degrees and have their academic and career questions answered, families can find out about the programmes, entry requirements, placements, international opportunities and career prospects.
We want everyone to have a complete picture of what it means to study Design at CESINE.
The Information Day will also be a chance to visit our campus and discover the spaces where our students develop their projects.
Because studying Design is much more than going to class.
It’s about creating, experimenting, making mistakes, trying things out, sharing ideas, working as a team and turning concepts into real projects.
We want you to experience that atmosphere first-hand and discover what everyday life is like for a Design student at CESINE.
