Santander hosts TEDxCesine 2026 under the theme “Regénesis”: real stories of reinvention, leadership and resilience
The event will take place on 15 May at the Centro Cívico Tabacalera, with free admission, and will bring together leading figures from entrepreneurship, innovation and culture in Cantabria
Santander will once again become a meeting point for ideas and inspiration with a new edition of TEDxCesine, the independently organised TED-licensed event that brings together entrepreneurs, creators and key figures from Cantabria’s ecosystem. Under the theme “Regénesis”, TEDxCesine 2026 celebrates the ability to reinvent yourself and shows that where a person comes from never determines where they end up.
The event will take place on Thursday 15 May, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Centro Cívico Tabacalera in Santander, with free admission subject to prior registration.
Over three hours, the audience will enjoy talks, artistic performances and networking spaces designed to connect talent, spark new ideas and strengthen Cantabria’s entrepreneurial and creative ecosystem.
Four stories that break the limits of origin
The TEDxCesine 2026 programme brings together very different profiles united by a single idea: perseverance and the ability to make decisions can transform any starting point.
Speakers include Rodrigo Fernández Baon, Marketing Director at NeuralTrust, an expert in AI cybersecurity and winner of South Summit 2025. His talk will explore how to build trust in a world shaped by the rise of AI and digital transformation.
Alejandro Manrique, an activist for the normalisation of disability, will also take part, sharing his personal experience after suffering a cervical spinal cord injury at the age of 25. Through his story, he will talk about resilience, adaptation and social visibility.
The business perspective will come from Ana Suárez, HRBP consultant, coach and university lecturer, with extensive experience in general management and human resources at retail companies. Her talk will focus on leadership, business transformation and the strategic value of human capital.
Rounding off the line-up is Saúl Pérez Ruano, a Cantabrian producer, director and screenwriter, founder of Emain Espacio Creativo and creator of audiovisual projects made without large budgets. His talk will focus on a culture of effort, creative entrepreneurship and the opportunities that arise off the beaten track.
Cantabrian artistic talent on stage
TEDxCesine 2026 will combine the talks with performances by local artists who also embody the spirit of “Regénesis”.
The event will feature close-up magic by Héctor Min, Spanish dance by María Casado and a musical performance by Esther Campo, three young Cantabrian talents who will share the stage with the speakers.
A one-of-a-kind event in Cantabria
TEDxCesine is currently the only event held in Cantabria under an independent TED licence, and is part of the global TEDx network present in hundreds of cities around the world.
The organisers also highlight the open, free nature of the initiative, aimed especially at young people, university students and anyone interested in entrepreneurship, innovation and personal development.
After the talks, attendees, organisers and participants will share a networking space to encourage new connections and collaborations within the region’s creative and business community.
